The Clean Panther Nettoyages ("The Clean Panther," "we," "us") is a residential and commercial cleaning company serving Greater Montreal. It is operated by 9495-8238 Québec Inc., 9290 Avenue Dubuisson 414, Montréal, QC H1L 0B8.
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers our website (thecleanpanther.ca), our online booking platform, and the calls, emails, and text messages we exchange with you. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
We follow Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, as amended by Law 25. We ask for your consent when we collect your information, for the specific purposes listed below, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Consent
By using our Site, users agree that they consent to:

Personal Data We Collect
We only collect what we need to quote, book, and deliver your cleaning.
What you give us when you book, request a quote, or call, text, or email us:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and service address
- Details about the property and the job: size, condition, pets, parking, special requests
- Access instructions, such as key, lockbox, or alarm codes
- Payment card details, which go straight to our payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
- Your messages to us, reviews, and any claims or complaints
What we create during the service: before-and-after photos or videos of the areas cleaned, used as proof of service and to handle claims.
What is collected automatically when you visit our website: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit, through cookies and similar tools (see Cookies and tracking below).
Text Messages (SMS)
We only text you if you opt in, for example by ticking the SMS box when you book or request a quote, or by texting us first. Agreeing to receive texts is never a condition of booking or of any purchase.
We text you about your quote or booking: confirmations, appointment reminders, schedule changes, and answers to your questions. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP at any time to stop all texts from us. You'll get one confirmation and nothing after that. Reply HELP for help, or reach us at (438) 500-2723 or info@thecleanpanther.ca.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other categories of sharing described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
How We Use Personal Data
- To prepare your quote, schedule your cleaning, and carry it out
- To send booking confirmations, reminders, and updates by email or text
- To process payments and prevent fraud
- To give your cleaner the information they need to do the job
- To handle claims, complaints, and our satisfaction guarantee
- To improve our website and services
- To send you marketing emails, only if you've agreed. Every one has an unsubscribe link.
- To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations
We won't use your information for any other purpose without asking you first.
Who We Share Personal Data With
We never sell your personal information. We share it only in these cases:
- Your cleaner. They receive only what they need for your job: your name, service address, access instructions, and job details. Each one agrees in writing to keep it confidential.
- Companies that help us run the business. This includes our booking and scheduling platform, payment processor, email and text messaging providers, website host, and analytics tools. Each gets only what it needs to provide its service and is bound by contract to protect it.
- When the law requires it, or to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights.
- If the business is sold or merged, your information may pass to the new owner, who must keep honouring this policy.
How Long We Store Personal Data
User data will be stored until the purpose the data was collected for has been achieved.
You will be notified if your data is kept for longer than this period.
Some of the companies we work with store data outside Quebec, including in the United States. Before we send personal information outside Quebec, we assess whether it will be adequately protected, as Law 25 requires, and we put contracts in place to protect it.
How We Protect Your Personal Data
Our website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to your information is limited to the people and providers who need it, and they're bound to keep it confidential. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.
If a confidentiality incident creates a risk of serious harm, we'll notify you and Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information, as the law requires.
Children
We do not knowingly collect or use personal data from children under 18 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 18 years of age, the personal data will be deleted as soon as possible. If a child under 18 years of age has provided us with personal data their parent or guardian may contact our privacy officer.
How to Access, Modify, Delete, or Challenge the Data Collected
If you would like to know if we have collected your personal data, how we have used your personal data, if we have disclosed your personal data and to whom we disclosed your personal data, or if you would like your data to be deleted or modified in any way, please contact our privacy officer by email.

You can opt-out of the use of your personal data for marketing emails or SMS. You can opt-out by clicking “unsubscribe” on the bottom of any marketing email or updating your email preferences under “Your Account”.
